In May 2023, Lee Levesque III was digging for Herkimer Diamond quartz crystals at Mohawk Valley Mineral Mining property in Sprakers, NY. That day Lee opened one pocket that revealed the largest smoky and skeletal Herkimer Diamond crystal group ever found in New York, a true museum-quality specimen. By the end of the day, he had discovered two more record-setting crystals. This book tells the geologic story of this dig site. It also tells the story of Lee's record-setting discovery.
